Dear Friends,
May we wish all our readers a Happy and Prosperous 2007 / 2550. Our Thai New Year festivities are centered on the age old traditions of Songkran in April each year, preceded by our Chinese New Year celebrations in February 2007.
This year is a special year for all Thai people as we celebrate the 80th Birthday of HM King Bhumiphol, the world’s longest reigning monarch.
The year kicks off to a great start with the launch of our new Chaophya Privilege Card and a new Platinum Card, which includes for the first time, accommodation vouchers for use throughout the year. For further details on the special discounts and room rates please contact our Food and Beverage sales department. Throughout January-April 2007 we will be bringing you an array of exciting food promotions which are described in detail in the Park News. Remember all Privilege Card members automatically receive 15% discount in all restaurants. Maybe now is the time to ask for an application form?

Work will commence shortly on refurbishing the hotel’s guest lifts and a stunning new look to the ever popular Garden Court Chinese restaurant. Both projects are expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2007 without disruption to guest services.
All comments are warmly received and I do hope you will take the opportunity to let us know how we are doing, through the guest questionnaire, which can be found in your room compendium or at the reception counter. It is our constant desire to provide all guests with ever higher standards of facilities, care and service.

EXCELLENCIES VISIT TO THE COUNTRY

Mr. David Saviye, Ambassador to the Republic of Zambia to the Chaophya Park Hotel during their Excellencies visit to the country to attend His Majesty the King’s birthday anniversary celebrations on 5th December 2006.
